Whole world is moving in lightning fast speed. However, one corner of this ever revolving world has escaped the mindless race to achieve something tangible. This corner of the world has not been very famous for its material productivity. But this place has gifted the world in past many doyens of culture. This place rather boasts of its slow lifestyle. People call this place West Bengal.
Bengali people are very fond of adda. They often forget about their duties at hand and chit chat about anything under the sun. Nothing escapes their observation from Sunny Leone’s bra to the verses of religious books. Bengali people justify their spending time in aimless activity by saying that “Cultivation of other’s life is beneficial to one’s health”. They call it with love PNPC ( পরনিন্দা পরচর্চা স্বাস্থের পক্ষে ভালো ).
However, adda is not always on futile, ephemeral subjects. Sometimes, a ray of wisdom sparkles through the endless tedious labyrinth of words and phrases. The other day, one of my friends opines that even a competition of music which used to be televised is often being rigged. Indeed, this friend’s daughter sings well, at least he thinks so. I know that there is nothing more unreal than the reality show. Everybody is an emperor of icecream. Stil, I believe, that if somebody do practice anything diligently, be that music, be that study, be that even riding a bike, success would one day kiss him or her. Nothing matters really. Ranks in a music competition actually means nothing. But wise men are always scarce.
